The play deals with the challenges of living life as a human. The Plot subtly delves into human psychology and questions the existence of invisible cocoon which is woven around each one of us by the religion, caste, system, established rules for rights and wrongs of the society and the education which suppresses the curiosity inherent to humans.

Play "Ched Chad Kyon?" by Playwright Manjul Bhardwaj

The play entitled Ched Chad Kyon? (Why Eve-Teasing Violence against Women?) revealed the deplorable aggression endured by women all over the country in schools, colleges, public transport, on roads, at the workplace, etc. The scenes depicted various forms of harassment and how women are silent recipients of it. The play concluded that women had endured enough, and it was time for them to be assertive, stand up for their rights and make living worthwhile for themselves. Kudos to Mr Manjul Bharadwaj, the director and playwright and his entire team of artistes, for portraying the facets of violence against women in an exemplary manner.

Manjul Bhardwaj a well known theatre personality in a panel discussion along with eminent personalities Mr. K.V Sridhar, National Creative Director at Leo Burnett, Indu Shahani Sheriff of Mumbai.The panel discussion was on the “role of new media” in engaging youth in gender and social development issues moderated by Rajat Ray of UNFPA . The event was organized by Population First & UNFPA on 11th oct at YB Chavan auditorium in Mumbai
